 Our program takes participants on a journey from creating music to performing it, giving them important knowledge and experiences in musical expression and modern composition.
Street Sounds Productions began as a modest concept and has since flourished into a vibrant organization.

At Street Sounds Productions, we take pride in closely collaborating with you to craft arts-integrated programming that is uniquely tailored to your school, organization, or church. 

Street Sounds Productions  extends our reach both nationwide and internationally, engaging a rich tapestry of participants from diverse backgrounds. In addition to hosting vibrant festivals, dynamic youth arts and music programs, and captivating live concerts, we are dedicated to spreading joy and nurturing a sense of community connection.

​With campuses in Bay Area, New York and Hawaii, our mission to inspire and unite through the arts knows no bounds.

We are committed to offering music instruction and performance opportunities that are accessible to all. Our belief in fostering an inclusive environment empowers individuals of every background and skill level to discover their musical talents and express themselves freely.

Meet the CEO


Christopher Street, a native of Southampton, Long Island, New York, has been involved in performing with various concert choirs and bands across the United States since he was 16 years old.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theater and Choral Performance and has devoted his career to advocating for youth arts and education.

With over twenty years of experience, he has collaborated with diverse youth programs and worked as an Elementary & Secondary School Paraprofessional/Behavioral Specialist and Instructional Aide in the San Francisco Unified School District.

He has also served as an artist in residence at the Ruth Williams Opera House in San Francisco's Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood.

Christopher has held significant roles in his career, including serving as the Director for Prep I & II and Training Chorus I & II at the  
San Francisco Girls Chorus. In addition, he was the Site Director for campus' such as the Ruth Williams Memorial Theater, Bayview Hunters Point YMCA, and Kanbar Center for the Arts.


 His fifteen years as a lead teaching artist and composer with the San Francisco Opera stand as a testament to his dedication to the arts. He is currently partnered with the San Francisco Opera Guild and San Francisco ArtsEd Alliance continuing to inspire and mentor budding artists.

Street's work focuses on empowering students to explore their inner strengths and talents through engaging, project-based activities. He specializes in creating a culturally rich, socially-emotionally responsive, hands-on learning environment that helps build students' confidence and encourages them to achieve their full potential.

Dr. Tiffani Marie,
Chairperson:

Dr. Johnson is a professor of Teacher Education and Ethnic Studies at San Jose State University, co-director of The Institute for Regenerative Futures, and director of the documentary *The Children Could Fly*. As a former Public Voices Fellow with the OpED Project, Dr. Johnson brings extensive knowledge in arts integration and social justice in education. Her leadership will be instrumental in enhancing Street Sounds Productions by guiding the development of culturally responsive programs that promote self-expression and foster growth among diverse communities. With her expertise, we are poised to create impactful experiences that resonate deeply with our audiences.

Reverend Kaloma A. Smith,
Vice Chairperson: 

​Rev. Smith's extensive experience in community engagement and social justice makes him a vital asset to Street Sounds Productions. As the pastor of University A.M.E. Zion, he has fostered a diverse and inclusive congregation, aligning perfectly with our mission to unite communities through music and storytelling. His leadership in initiatives like the 100 Community Conversations on Race demonstrates his ability to facilitate dialogue among diverse groups. Additionally, as a Housing commissioner in Palo Alto, California, Rev. Smith advocates for social equity, ensuring our programs: camps, choirs, festivals, and creative projects celebrate diversity and inclusivity. His commitment to fostering connections and igniting creativity will greatly enhance Street Sounds Productions' mission to empower individuals and families in their artistic journeys.

With a solid foundation as a retired high school math and science teacher, Victoria brings exceptional analytical skills and a keen attention to detail. Her experience in education has honed her ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively, qualities that are invaluable in financial management. Her commitment to fostering a strong financial framework will be crucial in maintaining the financial health of Street Sounds Productions, allowing the organization to thrive and focus on its mission. With her expertise, Victoria is poised to implement strategic financial practices that will support the organization's growth and sustainability, enabling Street Sounds Productions to continue delivering impactful programming to the community.

As Secretary, her meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage documentation and communication will enhance our operational efficiency and facilitate collaboration. Vicki’s well-rounded skill set enables her to approach challenges creatively, ensuring that our programs effectively support the diverse needs of the families we serve. Her commitment to education and nurturing young minds will significantly contribute to our mission and overall success.

Advisory Board Chairperson: 

Ruth Nott brings decades of expertise in organizational leadership, community engagement, and arts education to Street Sounds Productions. Previously, as Managing Director of Opera Parallèle, she successfully guided the organization through significant growth and innovation. Her experience as the Education Director at the San Francisco Opera, where she established the first arts education and community building department, has equipped her with the skills to develop impactful programs that engage diverse audiences. Ruth's work has reached over 70,000 people annually and has earned her prestigious accolades, including the Dreamcatcher Award from the San Francisco Unified School District. At Street Sounds Productions, Ruth will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives, enhancing fundraising efforts, and fostering partnerships, ensuring the organization's artistic excellence and long-term sustainability.

Othello Jefferson's extensive expertise in music education and the performing arts makes him a valuable addition to Street Sounds Productions' Advisory Board. With a Bachelor of Music degree and teaching experience at Sequoia High School, Othello has a proven track record of nurturing talent in young musicians. His work as a Minister of Music of the A.M.E Zion Western Episcopal District and award-winning composer showcases his deep understanding of diverse musical traditions, positioning him to guide the company in expanding its artistic scope. Othello's acclaimed projects, like "I, Too, Sing America," highlight his commitment to inclusivity and cultural representation, aligning with Street Sounds Productions' mission to uplift diverse musical expressions. His involvement promises to bring innovative insights and reinforce the organization's creative endeavors.
